My name is Jimmie Greathouse and I run The Tanglewood Hunt Club in Louisa County, Virginia.
On January 4, 2007, my hunting partners and I were setting up a drive using dogs. I was the shooter and on my stand. My buddies were driving the dogs. Over the radio, I heard the excitement in their voices as they jumped up a big deer, unfortuantely the deer was going away from me. I heard the dogs light up and their barks growing fainter and fainter.
I thought I was out of luck, when all of a sudden I catch a glimmer of hope. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw backtracking through the woods, a nice buck. He had circled back on the pack and I was in the right place at the right time. I raised my gun and made a drop dead 50 yard shot. When I approached the buck, I found it alot nicer than I thought, looking through my scope. He had a 10 point rack with a 22 1/2 inch inside spread.
Don't coming sneaking in the backdoor when ol' Jimmie has it covered.
